Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Project Manager for Power Generation & Supply, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of power generation projects from conception to completion. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and requirements.
    • Implement project management best practices to drive efficiency and mitigate risks.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Budget and Cost Control:
    • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Work closely with the finance team to forecast project costs and ensure financial objectives are met.
  4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality or compliance issues.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    • Proactively address emerging issues and escalate critical risks to senior management as needed.
  6. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management:
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across project teams.
    • Implement HSE policies and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and environmental impact.
  7. Project Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex power generation projects, preferably within the energy industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage budgets, and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations applicable to power generation projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
