Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, ITAR, ATF regulations, etc.).
Oversee internal audits, corrective actions, and continual improvement initiatives.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for quality issues.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including ATF, ITAR, and any applicable DoD or military specifications.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics and trends, driving data-based decisions.
Support product and process validation activities, including first article inspections and production part approval processes (FAI, PPAP).
Manage document control and quality records in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and inspections, including customer and regulatory audits.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
Develop and deliver training on quality standards, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience in a quality management or systems role within a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably firearms, defense, or aerospace).
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, and familiarity with ATF, ITAR, MIL-STD, and/or AS9100 requirements.
Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys).
Proven leadership in audit preparation, execution, and response.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality system software (e.g., ERP, QMS platforms).
