Systems Engineer

Core Responsibilities

  • Define, manage, and update system-level requirements for testing activities, ensuring efficiency by preventing unnecessary or duplicate testing through structured analysis

  • Partner with engineering leads to maximize test coverage using a disciplined requirements management approach

  • Promote consistency by establishing and documenting standardized testing procedures

  • Build and maintain traceability tools that connect business objectives to specific test specifications

  • Design and implement processes and tools that support effective requirements management

  • Collaborate closely with test engineering to confirm alignment between defined requirements and actual test execution

  • Review existing test coverage against required specifications and address any gaps

  • Oversee validation and verification efforts to confirm that requirements are complete, accurate, and testable

  • Organize and guide sessions with stakeholders to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements

  • Administer a structured change control process for updating requirements throughout the project lifecycle

  • Prepare and maintain requirements documentation using recognized systems engineering platforms

  • Work with specialized teams to establish requirements for environmental stress screening (ESS) and related qualification activities

  • Serve as a communication bridge between design engineers and laboratory testing teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline

  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering with emphasis on requirements definition and management

  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard requirements engineering practices and methodologies

  • Familiarity with requirements management software such as DOORS, Jama, or comparable tools

  • Solid understanding of systems engineering principles, including lifecycle processes

  • Prior experience in test engineering, validation, or manufacturing environments
