Hartford, CTCore Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software for a variety of machining equipment, including lathes and multi-axis milling machines.
- Create and optimize machining strategies to support production schedules.
- Specify appropriate tooling and assist in resolving manufacturing and machining challenges.
- Monitor ongoing production jobs to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Work with a range of metal materials, including high-strength alloys and stainless steels.
- Operate and program machines equipped with advanced control systems and multi-axis capabilities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Background in precision manufacturing, with experience in either general industry or a specialized field.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and good technical/computer skills.
- Familiarity with CAM and verification software (training available for candidates experienced in other platforms).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to track and compile cost and process data for estimating purposes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling software; experience with tools like SolidWorks or similar is a plus.
