CNC Programmer

Hartford, CT

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs using CAM software for a variety of machining equipment, including lathes and multi-axis milling machines.
  • Create and optimize machining strategies to support production schedules.
  • Specify appropriate tooling and assist in resolving manufacturing and machining challenges.
  • Monitor ongoing production jobs to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Work with a range of metal materials, including high-strength alloys and stainless steels.
  • Operate and program machines equipped with advanced control systems and multi-axis capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Background in precision manufacturing, with experience in either general industry or a specialized field.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and good technical/computer skills.
  • Familiarity with CAM and verification software (training available for candidates experienced in other platforms).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track and compile cost and process data for estimating purposes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling software; experience with tools like SolidWorks or similar is a plus.
