Position Overview
The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for leading large-scale engineering and infrastructure initiatives involving equipment installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements. This role oversees project execution from feasibility and design through commissioning and handoff to operations, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
Lead planning and execution of capital engineering projects
Develop project charters, scope documents, budgets, and schedules
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors
Oversee procurement, contractor management, and installation activities
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Track financial performance including forecasting and cost control
Facilitate design reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards
Manage project documentation and change management processes
Support commissioning, validation, and operational turnover
Provide progress reporting to executive leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
Experience managing capital or equipment-focused engineering projects
Strong understanding of engineering design, construction sequencing, and installation practices
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines in technical environments
Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
