Responsible for the day-to-day efforts including the installation, configuration and debugging of field equipment.  Will be involved in the hardware and software support; maintenance and repair of all field equipment;  documenting all procedures used in the installation, repair, and upgrading of all equipment; Interface with users and support personnel; assist in continuous improvement initiatives intended to improve system performance;  Willing and able to take the initiative and be proactive to fix issues before they create any problems.
Candidates will assist in installation, configuration, and network connection of standard and custom hardware components using support tools such as schematics, operating manuals and technical documentation. Will troubleshoot equipment failures or malfunctions with on-site field personnel and users. Intercede between users, field engineers and project managers to resolve escalated equipment problems. Provide technical information and assistance regarding new systems or changes/modifications to existing systems. Coordinate activities with materials management concerning parts availability, expected replacement intervals, and shipments to and from the factory.  Maintain communication regarding technical support activities through meetings, reports, documentation or other means as required. Provide on-site Field Engineer training on new product technology.
Requires 4+ years of field service/installation experience.
Mechanical aptitude and exceptional troubleshooting skills required.
Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the assembly, repair and/or installation of equipment and components.
